Beautiful vintage Italian jewellery box, made in Sorrento in the 1970s or 80s. Beautiful shimmery vitreous enamelled finish and lovely floral inlay. Red plush velvet lined compartment.

This is a beautiful vintage jewellery box, made in Sorrento, Italy. It dates to the 1970s/80s and is in excellent condition.
The Exterior
The exterior has a beautiful turquoise enamelled finish plus lovely floral inlaid decoration. The enamel is vitreous and has a beautiful shimmer. All of the wood has a polished and varnished finish. It is beautifully smooth and has a gorgeous glossy sheen.
The box is complete with its original polished gold metal piano hinge and it stands raised on its original feet.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment with its original padded plush red linings.
Condition
This beautiful box is in excellent condition with very little wear.
There is no loss of enamel or inlay
The interior linings are in very good condition with no splits or fraying. They have minor light wear and a few marks.
The hinge is still in perfect working order.
