Beautiful antique jewellery box in the form of a 17th-century dresser.
This is a beautiful antique jewellery box, in the form of a 17th-century dresser. It has beautiful turned baluster legs and a panel to the front with imitation drawers. These are beautifully inset into the wood and have lovely geometric forms.
The lid has its original brass stop hinges which prevent it from falling back, and the interior has been beautifully refurbished with new floral paper linings.
This very stylish box is made from solid Oak. The Oak has wonderful figuration and a lovely stained finish.
Age
Early 20th century. 1910/1920.
Condition
This beautiful old box is in wonderful condition. It is structurally sound and has very little wear for its 100 years. There is a small natural knot in the wood, below the panel at the front.
