Beautiful small Italian vintage jewellery box, made in Sorrento. Pretty floral inlay and a glossy polished finish. Soft brushed felt linings. Original makers label.

This is a beautiful small vintage jewellery box, dating to the 1980s. It was made in Sorrento, in Southern Italy, and has its original makers label.
The Exterior
The lid has pretty floral inlay, made up of several colourful varieties of wood. It also has a lovely Mahogany veneered frame.
There is lovely curvature to the body of the box and all of the wood has a high polished glossy finish.
The box is complete with its original gold metal piano hinge. It stands raised on its original gold metal feet.
The bottom of the box has retained its original maker's label and MADE IN ITALY label.
The Interior
The interior has a single small storage compartment. This has lovely soft brushed felt linings. The lining to the base is nicely padded.
The inside of the lid has a beautiful glossy Mahogany veneered finish.
Condition
This box is in excellent vintage condition with very little wear.
All of the inlay is present and intact.
The hinge is in very good working order.
The interior linings are neatly fitted. They are in lovely clean condition and have no splits or fraying.
