This is a beautiful vintage hallmarked silver pill box. It is complete in its original presentation box and in wonderful condition.
The Exterior
The silver has a glossy high polished finish. There is a beautiful border of engraved leaves around the lid. The centre of the lid is plain and can be personalised with an engraved name, initials or date etc. Your local jeweller or key cutter should have an engraving service.
The Interior
The interior has a beautiful gilded finish. This is a good sign of a high-quality piece of silver.
Hallmark And Makers Mark
The pill box has a full silver assay office hallmark which dates it to 1991. It also has the makers stamp 'B & Co' of silversmiths Broadway Silver (W I Broadway & Co). These silversmiths have been producing high-quality silverware since 1900.
This pill box is now a retired design. It is therefore collectable and will increase in rarity and value over time.
Condition
This box is in excellent vintage condition and appears to have had little or no use. It has no tarnish, no dents, and no obvious scratches.
The lid fits securely.
