A beautiful stylish vintage jewellery box with multiple storage compartments. It was made in Sweden in the 1970s and has beautiful new red velvet linings.

This is a beautiful stylish vintage jewellery box with multiple storage compartments. It was made in Sweden in the 1970s and is in very good condition for its age.
The Exterior
This box has a lovely faux leather vinyl finish which is a beautiful mottled/marbled pale cream colour. There is a decorative gold embossed floral frame to the lid and the box has its original polished gold metal clasp. It also has its original complementary gold metal hinges which are beautiufully engraved with a sunray-like design.
The Designer
This box was manufactured by Design Philipp, a Swedish company that is renowned for their beautiful faux leather jewellery boxes. Their gold embossed stamp is on the back of the box.
The Interior
The interior has multiple storage compartments of various shapes and sizes. These are perfect for keeping different types of jewellery separate, e.g, silver and gold, rings and earrings, small and large pieces.
The top of the interior has a tray with five compartments. This section automatically raises via quality cantilever hinges when you lift up the lid.
The bottom tray has a further two larger compartments.
All of the compartments have new premium red velvet linings/panels. The panels in the top compartments are padded, providing cusioned protection for jewellery.
The inside of the lid has its original red silk effect fabric lining which is decorated with a beautifully embossed gold motif.
Condition
This box is in very good condition for its age. It has sound structure and very little wear to the vinyl which is in remarkable clean condition.
The velvet linings are in lovely condition, being new. There is minor fraying to the edges of the velvet in the lower compartments.
The hinges are still in good working order.
