A very stylish Art Deco jewellery box with beautiful newly refurbished compartments. Wonderful Walnut veneer and an ivorine lipped handle. Liberty style poppy print cotton panels.

This is a beautiful Art Deco jewellery box, dating to the 1930s. It has attractive fully refurbished compartments and is in superb condition for its 90 plus years of age!
The Exterior
This box has beautiful Walnut veneer which has superb figuration and a beautiful grain. There are two highly decorative panels of veneer to the lid and front, and wide crossbands of veneer on either side of these. The panels have been skillfully cut and positioned to create a lovely symmetrical pattern with the Walnut's figuration. The box itself is made of solid Mahogany.
There is a stylish ivorine (faux ivory) lipped handle to the lid that enables you to lift it up with ease. Ivorine was a popular material during the Art Deco period.
The box has a stylish 'flat' streamlined design which was also very popular throughout the Art Deco era.
The box stands raised on its original hardwood block feet. These have new felt coverings which will protect the surfaces of furniture. The box also has its original high-quality retracting polished chrome quadrant hinges.
The Walnut veneer has been newly polished.
The Interior
The interior has two beautifully partitioned compartments that have been newly refurbished by ourselves. The bases to the compartments have new Liberty style cotton poppy print panels and the walls have new quality red paper linings. The panels are lightly padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.

Condition
This beautiful box is still in excellent condition. It has sound structure and only minor light wear, commensurate with age and honest use.
The interior panels and linings, being new, are in immaculate unused condition.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your parcel has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
