This is a very stylish mid 20th century box, dating to the 1950s/1960s. We have fully refurbished the interior compartments to convert it into a box which is now functional for jewellery storage.

This is a very stylish mid 20th century box, dating to the 1950s/1960s. We have fully refurbished the interior compartments to convert it into a box which is now functional for jewellery storage.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid wood which has a wonderful aged patina. There are beautiful flowing curves to the sides of the box, and the box is veneered with several varieties of wood.
The box is complete with its original hinges and the feet have new felt linings which will protect the surfaces of furniture.
The Interior
The bases of the compartments have beautiful new bespoke green velvet panels. These are padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery. The walls of the compartments have new quality green paper linings.
The inside of the lid has beautiful Mahogany veneer.
The New Velvet/Paper Linings
These have been completely handmade to ensure they fit the compartments perfectly. A quality premium velvet has been used. This is plush and has a beautiful tight weave.

History
This box started its life as a cigarette box. It is a wonderful piece of social history which is now much more suitable for jewellery storage. There is no cigarette odour present.
Condition
This box is still in excellent condition despite its 60/70 years of age. It has sound structure and only very minor light wear commensurate with age and honest use.
The interior linings, being new, are in immaculate condition.
The hinges are still in good working order.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your parcel has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
