A lovely small antique Edwardian jewellery box with a textured black leather finish and a partially refurbished interior. Circa 1901-1910.

This is a lovely small antique Edwardian jewellery box, dating to 1901-1910. It has a partially refurbished interior with multiple compartments and a ring storage section.
The Exterior
This box has a textured black leather covering and an oval shaped metal escutcheon to the keyhole. It is complete with its original stop hinges which hold the lid upright and it also has its original lock. The lid has a stylish white metal swing handle.
Please note the lock is not functional and therefore has no key.
The Interior
The interior has a removal storage tray at the top which has three compartments plus a ring storage section. There is a larger single compartment beneath the tray.
The bases of all compartments plus the inside of the lid, have new padded deep green velvet panels. The padding provides cushioned protection for jewellery.
The round section within the centre compartment of the tray, was originally designed to hold a pocket watch. It would now make lovely storage for a large round pendant, locket or brooch. The base of this section has a new green velvet padded panel.
The ring storage section, plus the base surrounding the pocket watch holder, have their original velvet coverings.
The interior and exterior of the storage tray has a black leather finish, as do the walls of the lower compartment.
Condition
This box has sound structure and is in fair condition for its age.
There is some minor wear/marks to the leather.
All of the new velvet panels are in immaculate unworn condition, being new.
The remaining original velvet linings within the tray have some minor wear.
The hinges are still in good working order.

6.0 by 5.5cm with a 1.5cm depth. 4.0cm diameter to the centre section.
Interior Storage Tray - Left & Right Compartments:
7.3 by 2.9cm with a 1.7cm depth.
Ring Storage Section:
Holds approx 3 rings depending on their shape and size.
Interior Lower Compartment:
12.8 by 8.8cm with a 2.5cm depth.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world.
