A lovely antique Edwardian jewellery box with a textured black leather finish and a partially refurbished interior. Circa 1901-1910.

This is a lovely antique Edwardian jewellery box, dating to 1901-1910. It has all of its original silk and velvet linings.
The Exterior
This box has a textured black leather finish and an oval shaped metal escutcheon to the keyhole. It is complete with its original stop hinges which hold the lid upright and it also has its original lock. The lid has a stylish white metal swing handle.
Please note there is no key.
The Interior
The interior has a removable storage tray at the top which has three compartments plus a ring storage section. There is a larger single compartment beneath the tray. The interior walls have a black leather finish.
The tray has its original green velvet linings and the centre compartment has its original silk covered ring which was originally designed to hold a pocket watch. This would now make lovely storage for a large circular locket, pendant or brooch. The tray also has a black leather finish and its top edges have gilt detail.
The larger lower compartment plus the inside of the lid, have their original padded green silk panels.
Condition
This box has sound structure and is in good condition for its age.
There are some age related marks to the leather.
All of the interior linings are secure. The silk has some age related marks.
The hinges are still in good working order.
There is some age related friction wear to the bottom of the box.

7.6 by 7.2cm with a 1.5cm depth. 4.5cm diameter to the centre ring.
Interior Storage Tray - Left & Right Compartments:
7.5 by 3.9cm with a 2.0cm depth.
Ring Storage Section:
Holds approx 6-7 rings depending on their shape and size.
Interior Lower Compartment:
15.8 by 10.4cm with a 2.8cm depth.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world.
