Beautiful antique Ebony wood jewellery box dating to the Edwardian period. Stylish piano shape with flowing curves and beautifully turned piano legs. Original silk linings to the interior.

This is a beautiful antique Ebony wood jewellery box. It dates to the Edwardian period, circa 1901-1910. It is in excellent condition and complete with its original linings.
The Exterior
This box is made of beautiful dark solid Ebony wood. It has a very stylish piano shape and stands raised on beautifully turned piano legs. The box has lovely flowing curves and is complete with its original white metal hinges. There is a small discreet 'REAL EBONY' stamp on the bottom of the box.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment which is complete its original silk linings. The silk panel to the base of the compartment is padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery. The silk is a beautiful golden peach shade.
Age
Circa 1901-1910.
Condition
This beautiful box is still in excellent condition despite its 110-120 years of age. It has sound structure and only very minor light age-related wear. The hinges are still in perfect working order and the legs are secure and free from damage.
The interior silk linings are still in superb condition for their age. They are neatly fitted and have no splits or fraying. The beautiful colour of the silk has not faded and it has only very minor light wear from age and use.

Please use the following measurements to ensure the box is the right size for your requirements. It is a smallish box with a shallow storage compartment, ideal for a select small collection of jewellery.

Interior Compartment:
11.5 by 8.0cm with a 2.5cm depth.
The longest lengths and widths have been taken due to the irregular shape of this box.
