A lovely old vintage jewellery box. It dates to the 1970s and has a beautifully refurbished compartment.

This is a lovely old vintage jewellery box. It dates to the 1970s and has a beautifully refurbished compartment.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid wood. It has a rich cherry wood effect stain and a glossy varnished finish. The box has lovely rounded corners and quality dovetail joints. It is a somewhat rustic looking hand made box, not a mass produced machine made item.
The box is complete with its original hinges. The lid extends fully back, providing very easy access to the compartment.
The Interior
The interior has been newly refurbished. The base of the compartment has a new plush burgundy velvet panel and the walls of the compartments have new lighter burgundy paper linings. The velvet panel to the base is plumply padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
Condition
This box is still in very good condition, despite its 50 plus years of age. It has only minor light age related wear.
The interior linings, being new, are in immaculate condition, i.e, no stains or wear.
The hinges are in fine working order.
There is a small spot of excess glue to the new paper lining on the rear wall of the compartment.

Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
