Lovely small oval shaped jewellery box. Navy blue soft felt covering and an Italian hallmarked silver top to the lid. The silver has a hammered finish and a blank cartouche which can be personalised with an engraved name/initials/date if desired.

This is a lovely small jewellery box with a beautiful sterling silver top. It is the perfect size for small pieces of jewellery such as rings, earrings and pendants.
The Exterior
This box has a navy blue soft felt covering and its lid is topped with hallmarked sterling silver. The silver has a very pale gold washed finish which hasn't been captured in the photos. It has hammered decoration and a polished raised cartouche in the centre. The cartouche can be personalised with an engraved name/initials/date etc if desired. A good jeweller or key cutter should be able to provide this service.
Hallmark/Makers Mark/Age
The silver has a full Italian hallmark which loosely dates it to between 1968 and the present year. It has a 925 sterling silver stamp plus the silversmith's makers mark. This mark includes the silversmith's registration number (336) and the two-letter abbreviation (FI) of the province in Italy where the silversmith was registered. The FI abbreviation is for the province Firenze.
The box dates to the 1990s/2000's.
The Interior
The interior has a single felt-lined storage compartment.
Condition
This box is in very fair preloved condition with only minor light wear to the felt.
The silver is in very good condition. It has no dints and only minor light surface wear. The pale gold wash finish has faded and rubbed away slightly in a few areas. This does not spoil the lovely overall appearance of the silver.
