This is a lovely stylish vintage jewellery box. It was made in Sweden in the 1970s and is in good condition for its age. The interior has its original colourful cerise pink linings.

This is a lovely stylish vintage jewellery box. It was made in Sweden in the 1970s and is in good condition for its age.
The Exterior
This box has a lovely faux leather vinyl finish which is a beautiful deep plum colour. There is some gold line detail framing the lid and box.
The box is complete with its original hinges. It also has its original polished gold metal clasp and key. Both are still in excellent working order.
The box has a stylish 'flat' streamlined design.
The Designer
This box was manufactured by Design Philipp, a Swedish company that have been boxmakers for Royalty since 1834, and who are renowned for their beautiful faux leather jewellery boxes. Their gold embossed stamp is on the bottom of the box.
The Interior
The interior has three storage compartments, with a ring storage section between the two at the front. All of the compartments, as well as the ring storage, have their original cerise pink soft velvet like linings. The two front compartments are ideal for small pieces of jewellery such as earrings, pendants and brooches. The larger rear compartment is the ideal shape and size for laying out chains/necklaces.
The inside of the lid has its original silk effect fabric linings. There is a striking circular geometric pattern upon the fabric that gives the illusion of depth.
Condition
This box is in good condition for its age. It has sound structure and only minor light wear to the plum vinyl.
There is some wear to the interior velvet like linings from previous jewellery storage. None of this is overly unsightly.
The catch is in excellent working order, securely closing and locking the box. There is a lovely engraved pattern on the key.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
