This is a lovely Italian circular jewellery box with a beautiful sterling silver top to the lid. The silver is fully hallmarked.
The Exterior
This box has a navy blue velvety felt covering and its lid is decorated with a hallmarked silver plaque. The plaque has a beautiful organic Art Nouveau design with symmetrical raised motifs and a hammered finish between these.
Hallmark/Makers Mark/Age
The silver has a full Italian hallmark which loosely dates it to between 1968 and the present year. It also has a 925 sterling silver purity stamp. There is also a 3÷5g stamp present, indicating the plaque has a resin base with a silver covering that weighs between 3 and 5 grams.
The Interior
The interior has a single velvety felt-lined storage compartment.
Condition
This box is in excellent pre-loved condition and appears to have seen very little use. The silver is in very good condition. It has no dints and only minor light surface wear/light tarnish.
