A beautiful good sized vintage jewellery box, made in Sweden in the 1970s. Very decorative feature to the lid and multiple velvet lined storage compartments.

This is a beautiful good sized vintage jewellery box. It was made in Sweden in the 1970s and is in very good condition for its age.
The Exterior
This box has a lovely faux leather vinyl finish which is a beautiful deep mottled/marbled brown colour. There is a very decorative framed feature to the lid. The frame is faux wood with a 'carved' Greek key pattern and within this is a beautiful faux patent leather panel with a textured crocodile skin pattern.
The box is complete with its original hinges which are still in excellent working order. It also has its original polished gold metal clasp which securely closes the box. Please note the key to the lock is missing.
The clasp is stamped SWISS MADE.
The Designer
This box was manufactured by Design Philipp, a Swedish company that have been boxmakers for Royalty since 1834, and who are renowned for their beautiful faux leather jewellery boxes. Their gold embossed stamp is on the bottom of the box, and the box has retained their gold information card.
The Interior
The interior has multiple storage compartments of various shapes and sizes. These are perfect for keeping different types of jewellery separate, e.g, silver and gold, rings and earrings, small and large pieces.
The top of the interior has a tray with three compartments and a ring storage section. Beneath this are a further two larger compartments.
All of the compartments have their original plush emerald green velvet linings, with the bottom compartments also having their original velvet pads. These pads are for covering the jewellery. The velvet lining within the lid has an embossed Greek key pattern which complements that to the frame upon the lid.
Condition
This box is in very good condition for its age. It has sound structure and very little wear.

Lower Large Compartments:
15.2 by 11.9cm with a 2.4cm depth.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your package has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
