A beautiful antique Victorian jewellery box, made of solid Walnut. The box has high quality engraved brass adornments and a fully refurbished satin lined interior.

This is a beautiful antique jewellery box with extremely decorative brass adornments and a fully refurbished interior. It dates to the Victorian period, circa 1870-1880.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Walnut and is a high quality weighty, sturdy antique.
The lid, front and back of the box have extremely decorative brass adornments which are beautifully engraved and securely fixed with quality studs of various sizes.
The box is complete with its original working brass lock and key. It also has its original brass stop hinges which hold the lid upright.
The bottom of the box has a new felt covering which will protect the surfaces of furniture.
The Interior
The interior has been fully refurbished by our skilled box restorer.
The compartment has new raspberry red satin linings. Its base panel is padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery. There is a matching new satin panel to the inside of the lid and new quality red paper linings to the surrounding walls.

Condition
This box is still in excellent condition. It has sound structure and no cracks.
The interior linings, being new, are in immaculate unused/unworn condition.
The hinges and lock are in good working order.
