A stylish Art Deco jewellery box with beautiful newly refurbished compartments. Wonderful Walnut and Macassar Ebony veneers. High-quality quadrant hinges.

This is a beautiful Art Deco jewellery box, dating to the 1920s/1930s. It has a beautiful fully refurbished interior and is in lovely condition for its 95-105 years of age.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Mahogany and has a beautiful Walnut veneered finish. The Walnut has superb figuration and a warm rich colour. There is a band of highly decorative Macassar Ebony veneer running down the centre of the lid and front, and wide crossbands of Walnut veneer on either side of this. The Walnut veneer panels have been beautifully positioned to create a lovely symmetrical pattern with the Walnut's figuration.
There is a stylish lipped handle to the lid that enables you to lift it up with ease.
The box has a stylish 'flat' streamlined design which was very popular throughout the Art Deco era.
The box stands raised on its original beautifully shaped feet. These have new soft felt coverings which will protect the surfaces of furniture.
The box also has its original high-quality retracting quadrant hinges.
The Interior
The interior has two beautifully partitioned storage compartments that have been newly refurbished by our skilled box restorer. The bases of the compartments have new padded satin panels and the walls have new satin linings. The padded panels provide cushioned protection for jewellery.

Condition
This beautiful box is still in very good condition. It has sound structure and only minor light wear, commensurate with age and honest use.
The interior panels and linings, being new, are in immaculate unworn condition.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your parcel has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
