Beautiful vintage jewellery box from Sorrento in Southern Italy. Circa 1970s/1980s. Beautifully veneered with Satinwood and featuring pretty inlaid flowers to the lid. Beautifully refurbished interior.

This is a beautiful vintage Italian box that was made in the beautiful coastal town Sorrento. It is beautifully veneered and inlaid and has a newly refurbished interior. It dates to the 1970s/1980s.
The Exterior
This box has shimmery Satinwood veneer to the lid and all four sides. The lid has beautifully inlaid flowers within a wonderful oval inlaid Walnut frame. All of the inlay is set flush into the Satinwood. The lid securely closes with a lovely gold metal clasp.
The box has very decorative solid 'bronzed' hinges and the lid extends back fully.
The Interior
The interior has been fully refurbished. There are new padded pink cotton panels in the base of the compartment and to the inside of the lid. These provide cushioned protection for jewellery. The interior walls have new high-quality paper linings. These are a beautiful peachy/pink shade with very pretty blue-grey/coral/purple flowers and leaves.
All of the lining work has been carried out by ourselves.
Condition
This box is in very good vintage condition. It has sound structure and only minor light wear, commensurate with age and honest use.
All of the inlay is present and secure.
The interior's panels and paper linings are in immaculate condition, being new.
The hinges and clasp are in perfect working order.
