A wonderful Art Deco jewellery box with decorative inlay and a beautifully refurbished velvet lined interior. It dates to the 1920s/1930s and is in very good condition.

This is a wonderful Art Deco jewellery box with decorative inlay and a beautifully refurbished interior. It dates to the 1920s/1930s.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid wood and has a beautiful veneered and inlaid finish.
The lid is extremely decorative. This has a beautiful inlaid Walnut panel, framed by further inlaid bands consisting of several varieties of wood. The Walnut panel is made up of mutiple triangular pieces of inlay, skilfully postioned to create a spiderweb like pattern. In the centre of the panel there is a beautiful inlaid diamond, also made of Walnut and framed by inlaid Satinwood.
The box is complete with its original hinges.
The bottom of the box has a new felt lining which will protect the surfaces of your furniture.
The Interior
The interior has been fully refurbished by ourselves.
The inside of the lid and the base of the compartment have new plush burgundy velvet panels. The panels are padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
The walls to the compartment and inside lid have new high-quality burgundy paper linings to complement the velvet panels.
Condition
This wonderful old box is still in very good condition and has sound structure.
The interior linings, being new, are in immaculate clean unused condition.
The hinges are still in good working order.
All of the veneer and inlay is present, bar one tiny piece of veneer missing to the rear of the lid on the left side. This is on the bottom edge and so is not very noticeable.

Please use the following measurements to ensure the box is the right size for your requirements. It is a small-medium sized box which is deep enough to hold broad bangles and watches if desired.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your parcel has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
