A lovely vintage Italian jewellery box, dating to the 1950s. The box has a decorative faux leather covering and a newly refurbished velvet lined interior.

This is a lovely vintage Italian jewellery box, dating to the 1950s and with a fully refurbished interior.
The Exterior
The box has a faux chestnut brown leather covering with textured embossed roses. There is a lovely silk print to the centre of the lid which depicts an old rustic Italian countryside scene. There are gilt scroll motifs framing the silk print and edges of the lid.
The bottom of the box has MADE IN ITALY stamped upon it in gilt lettering.
The box is complete with its original lock and key.
The Interior
We have beautifully refurbished the entirety of the interior.
The compartment has beautiful new light pink velvet panels. The base panel is plumply padded, providing cushioned protection for jewellery.
The inside of the lid has a beautiful floral patterned paper panel. This features roses and white blossom upon a nicely contrasting deep slate blue background. The roses complement those within the exterior leather.
Condition
This charming old box is in very fair condition for its age. The faux leather has some wear from age and honest use but is in good condition overall.
The interior velvet and paper linings are in immaculate condition, being new.
The lock still functions adequately.
There is a stain to the silk print on the lid but the majority of the scene is still visible.
