Lovely vintage black faux leather jewellery box with gold metal clasp and hinges. Beautiful original beige velvet linings.

This is a vintage black faux leather jewellery box, retailed in England in the 1960s by the firm Tallent of Old Bond Street.
The Exterior
The box has a black textured faux leather finish with a gold metal clasp, gold metal hinges, and gold fitments to the carrying strap on the lid. The clasp securely closes the box but please note there is no key for it. All of the gold hardware is made by CHENEY and is stamped as such on the clasps and hinges.
The bottom of the box has retained its original gold retailers stamp, 'Tallent of OLD BOND STREET, MADE IN ENGLAND'. Information on the retailer is given below.
The Interior
The interior has three tiers of storage. There are two storage trays plus a further storage compartment at the bottom. The top tray has one compartment plus ring storage sections on either side; the second tray has two storage compartments. Both trays have black satin pull tabs which enable you to lift them out of the box with ease. All of the compartments plus ring storage sections have their original plush beige velvet linings.
The inside of the lid has its original fitted mirror which is beautifully framed with beige silk plaited cord trim.
There are black satin ribbons concealing the hinges.
The Retailer
This box was retailed by the renowned jewellery box firm Tallent of Old Bond Street, London. Tallent's musical boxes were made in Southend by the firm Mansell's who later bought Tallent.
Condition
This box is in lovely vintage condition. It is structurally sound and has no damage.
The catch is secure and the hinges are in good working order.
There is minor wear/minor fine light creases to the faux leather.
The interior linings are still clean and neatly fitted. They have no splits or fraying.
The mirror is still lovely and clear, and has no chips or cracks.

18.6 by 6.6cm with a 2.5cm depth.
Ring Storage Sections:

12.4 by 9.2cm with a 2.5cm depth.
Lower Compartment:
18.5 by 13.5cm with a 3.7cm depth.
