A beautiful antique jewellery box from the Black Forest region, circa 1880/1890. Crisp hand carvings depicting bark and a fully refurbished interior compartment.

This is a beautiful refurbished Victorian jewellery box from the Black Forest region. It dates to the late 19th century (1880/1890) and has fabulous hand-carved decoration.
The Exterior
This box is made of solid Lime wood which has a beautiful dark stained finish. It has superb crisp hand carvings to the lid and all four sides, depicting the bark of a tree.
The box is complete with its original hinges and lock. Please note the lock is not functional and therefore no key is present.
The Interior
The interior compartment has been fully refurbished by ourselves. There are new quality red paper linings to the walls and a new padded red velvet panel to the base. The panel provides cushioned protection for jewellery.
Condition
This wonderful box is in very good condition for its 130/140 years of age. It has sound structure and very little wear, apart from the wear on the bottom of the box.
The hinges are still in good working order.
The interior linings, being new, are in immaculate unworn/unused condition.

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
