A beautiful antique jewellery box with Walnut and exotic Macassar Ebony veneers. Original velvet linings to the interior.

This is a beautiful antique Art Deco jewellery box, complete with its original velvet linings.
The Exterior
This box has beautiful Walnut and exotic Macassar Ebony veneers. It has a raised panel to the lid which features two Walnut panels that have been skillfully cut and positioned to create a symmetrical pattern with the Walnut's figuration. The Walnut on the lid is lighter than that on the sides, creating a wonderful contrast. The darker Walnut to the sides is also cut and postioned in the same fashion as that on the lid, having two veneered panels per side.
The box has a stylish plinthed base and is complete with its original hinges.
The bottom of the box has its original black velvet covering which will protect the surfaces of furniture.
The Interior
The interior has a single storage compartment. This, as well as the inside of the lid, have their original black velvet linings.
Condition
This beautiful box is in very fair condition for its century year old age. It has sound structure.
There are some nibbles to the Macassar veneer, just along the bottom edges of the plinth, and one piece of veneer missing to the left side.
The velvet linings are in fair condition for their age. They have some wear, rubbed marks, and a little fraying - mainly along the top edges.
There is some minor wear around the edges of the velvet covering on the bottom of the box.

Height: 9.5cm (excluding the plinth)

International postage is £30 by Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For postage. Delivery is fast, within 3-5 working days to Europe and 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. Delivery may be longer depending on the speed of your local postal service and/or if your parcel has to go through customs. Please note that we cannot deliver to international PO boxes as we use a secure insured postal service that requires a signature.
